As a process to set quality benchmarks in Higher Education Institutes (HEI’s) in
India, NAAC Bangalore executes the procedure of assessment and accreditation of
HIE’s. It is imperative that HEI’s are motivated to establish our own internal mechanisms
for sustenance, assurance and enhancement of the quality culture of education imparted
by them. One of the important functions of IQAC is to develop realistic and attainable
quality benchmarks for each of the academic and administrative activities, means
fixing standards for all activities on the basis of its own practices and experiences.
The most critical functioning of IQAC is to keep the institutions abreast and abuzz
with latest developments in Higher Education and quality sustenance activities.
Thus, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a post accreditation quality sustenance
activity. Now as per the guidelines of NAAC, we have established an Internal Quality
Assurance Cell in our college for quality assurance. As per the norms we have prepared
the cell. We have also included Two Peer Experts form Society. The IQAC functions
throughout the year for quality assurance. There is a regular meeting which held
quarterly.
Quality Circle:
Quality Circle will be established from the next academic year with a view to bring
out qualitative improvement in college. This circle visits various sections and
departments of the college with an endeavor to find out chances of betterment in
the performance. Open meetings of quality circle are arranged. Different programmes,
training sessions and workshops are frequently organized.
Objective
The primary aim of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic
action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through
internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Strategies:
IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for-
Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative
and financial tasks.
The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.
Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes.
Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
The credibility of evaluation procedures.
Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and
services.
Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and
abroad.
Functions:
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are -
Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic
and administrative activities of the institution.
Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conductive to quality
education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology
for participatory teaching and learning process.
Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders
on quality-related institutional processes.
Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of Higher Education.
Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related
themes and promotion of quality circles.
Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities,
including adaptation and dissemination of best practices.
Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose
of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality.
Development of quality culture in the institution.
Preparation of Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters
of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.

are the members of the committee for Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for
the period of two academic years (2014-2015 and 2015-2016) for planning, guiding
and monitoring quality assurance and quality enhancement activities for the higher
education in the college. The committee comprises the following with effect from
01/10/2014.
Now as per the guidelines of NAAC, Principal has reconstructed the IQAC. Following
are the members of the committee for Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for
the period of two academic years (2018-2019 and 2019-2020) for planning, guiding
and monitoring quality assurance and quality enhancement activities for the higher
education in the college. The committee comprises the following with effect from
